in a serious and concrete solution. After years of research and development, we created our first eco-
friendly resin, made from biomass and other renewable raw materials.

Regulation (EC No. 1907/2006) and in line with ZDHC MRSL requirements, ensuring high standards of
chemical safety throughout the supply chain. This approach is supported by Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
analyses conducted in accordance with ISO 14040/44 and ISO 14067 standards, enabling us to measure and
communicate the environmental impact of our materials transparently and verifiably throughout their
entire life cycle.

CARBON CYCLE

The sustainability of a material also depends on the origin of the carbon it contains. Unlike fossil carbon,
which contributes to the increase of CO₂ in the atmosphere, carbon from renewable sources is part of the
natural carbon cycle, reducing the material’s overall environmental impact. Thanks to the ASTM D6866
method, the internationally recognized standard for distinguishing biobased carbon from fossil carbon, it is
possible to accurately measure the renewable carbon content present in our materials.

Analysis conducted on MEBA BIORESINE® products has certified a 41% biobased carbon content, a tangible
result that demonstrates our commitment to more sustainable and transparent solutions. An added value
for our partners, who can rely on a material that combines performance, design and certified sustainability.

first biopolymer certified as being made from renewable sources.

What data demonstrates the low environmental impact of MEBA BIORESINE®?

We represent one of the most sustainable choices available in the resin sector for the production of high-
end components and accessories for the fashion and design markets. We do not simply say it — the facts
speak for themselves: laboratory analyses have certified a 41% biobased carbon content, twice the
minimum threshold required by the European standard EN 16935:2017

The green ingredients of MEBA BIORESINE®?

Corn starch, sugarcane processing residues, and recycled vegetable oils and fats are given a new life in our
biopolymers. During our production processes, no ingredients intended for the food industry or of animal origin are used.

How is CO₂ impact measured?

Through the ASTM D6866 method, an internationally recognized standard for distinguishing renewable
carbon from fossil carbon, it is possible to determine the proportion of biobased carbon in a material and
better assess its environmental profile.
CO₂ associated with renewable carbon is part of the natural carbon cycle, unlike fossil carbon, which
introduces carbon that has been stored underground for millions of years into the atmosphere. This
distinction helps quantify the renewable component of our materials and the potential reduction in reliance
on fossil carbon.
