But a claim alone is not enough.<br\/>For those involved in material selection and development, September can be an opportunity to take a closer look at what makes a solution truly reliable.<br\/>At MEBA BIORESINE\u00ae, we believe that material selection should be based on measurable data, independent documentation, and a comprehensive understanding of its impact.   <\/p>\n\n<p id=\"block-jwE0FYsXqG\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-h3\"><strong>Why Is Certification Important?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p id=\"block-8VwBeo9Rdp\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-body\">Certifications make it possible to verify specific material properties against internationally recognized standards. For those developing a product, they provide a practical tool for objectively evaluating materials and making better-informed decisions. And today, the verification of sustainability claims is more relevant than ever.  <\/p>\n\n<p id=\"block-q9hWvoFE6h\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-body\">From 27 September 2026, a more explicit and stringent European framework on sustainability claims will come into effect. The new legislation introduces more specific definitions and rules for environmental claims, sustainability labels, and certification schemes, reinforcing the need for every claim to be consistent with the evidence and documentation supporting it.<\/p>\n\n<p id=\"block-a7nLXiVLgq\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-h3\"><strong>The MEBA Data Point<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p id=\"block-JezeLgCqVp\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-body\">Our bioresins contain <strong>41% bio-based carbon,<\/strong> validated by UL in accordance with ASTM D6866, Method B. This verified data provides a tangible reference point for those developing and selecting materials.<br\/>However, being bio-based does not automatically mean having a low environmental impact.
